Doraemon Movie Series Announces First Ever 4D Screenings as MX4D and 4DX, New Trailer Revealed

The latest Doraemon film, Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil, set to be released on February 27, will be screened simultaneously in MX4D and 4DX formats. This marks the first time in the history of the Doraemon movie series that a film will receive a 4D theatrical release. Since the first Doraemon movie premiered in 1980, the franchise has now reached its 45th installment, making this milestone particularly significant.

In MX4D and 4DX theaters, seat movements in all directions, vibrations, scents, lighting, wind, and water effects are fully synchronized with the film. Audiences will be able to enjoy an immersive experience as if they were riding Doraemon’s secret gadget, the Underwater Buggy, and exploring the depths of the ocean alongside Doraemon and his friends.

The 45th Doraemon movie is set in the deep sea, described as the place closest to the center of the Earth.
