Baki-Dou Anime Set for Global Netflix Release on February 26 with All 13 Episodes Streaming at Once

Baki-Dou (JP: 刃牙道), the latest installment in the Baki anime series, will launch as a global Netflix exclusive on February 26, with episodes 1 through 13 released simultaneously.

Alongside the announcement, the main visual has been unveiled. At its center stands Miyamoto Musashi, the legendary undefeated swordsman who has been revived through cutting edge scientific technology. Surrounding him are Baki Hanma and Yujiro Hanma, who confront Musashi in this series, as well as underground arena fighters such as Kaio Retsu, Doppo Orochi, and Goki Shibukawa.

A Legendary Swordsman Revived for a New Era

The visual captures Musashi standing resolutely with his sword drawn, symbolizing the lifting of the ban on weapon use that defines this arc. Opposite him are warriors who never doubt their own strength, their fierce resolve clearly conveyed. Anticipation is building for the life or death battles that unfold across time, pitting a legendary swordsman against the strongest fighters of the modern era.

Bakidou is based on the manga of the same name by Keisuke Itagaki, originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2014 to 2018. The story takes place after the conclusion of the ultimate parent child showdown known as the strongest father and son fight on Earth.

As Baki finds himself sinking into boredom, an unexpected figure appears before him: Miyamoto Musashi, Japan’s greatest swordsman. Created from Musashi’s remains through cloning, the resurrected warrior descends into the modern world and attacks Baki and the others as a new threat, wielding sword techniques that combine overwhelming power and incredible speed. The series depicts the unprecedented outcome of a time transcending clash between the strongest underground arena fighters and a legendary swordsman.
