About Ouran High School Host Club
The original manga, created by Bisco Hatori, was serialized in LaLa magazine published by Hakusensha and has surpassed 14 million copies in circulation. The story is set at the prestigious Ouran Academy High School, attended exclusively by elite students. One day, scholarship student Haruhi Fujioka accidentally wanders into the Host Club room and, due to an unexpected turn of events, ends up working as a male host entertaining female students. While hiding the fact that she is a girl, Haruhi spends her school days alongside a group of charming and eccentric boys, forming bonds of friendship, romance, and heartfelt comedy.
The anime was produced by BONES, the renowned studio behind Fullmetal Alchemist, My Hero Academia, and Eureka Seven. Direction was handled by Takuya Igarashi, known for the Ojamajo Doremi series and Bungo Stray Dogs, with series composition by Yoji Enokido, who has worked on Bungo Stray Dogs and Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. Character design was led by Kumiko Takahashi, celebrated for her work on Cardcaptor Sakura and Snow White with the Red Hair.
The voice cast further elevated the series’ appeal, with Maaya Sakamoto starring as Haruhi Fujioka. She was joined by an all star lineup including Mamoru Miyano, Masaya Matsukaze, Kenichi Suzumura, Yoshinori Fujita, Ayaka Saito, and Daisuke Kirii, whose performances vividly brought the Host Club members to life.
