Aula is known for a shocking suicide scene commanded by Frieren through a magical effect (a spell of obedience called "Auserlese") that orders, "Aula, commit suicide." Despite appearing in only a few episodes, the impactful scene has garnered immense popularity for Aula on the internet. Ayana Taketatsu, who plays Aula, expressed her surprise at the poll results on X (social media), saying, "Lady Aula second place...!? Congratulations, I'm very surprised," and wondered, "Has everyone been enchanted by Auserlese?" She also expressed her hope to reprise the role, leading fans to comment, "I'd be happy if she appeared in a past battle arc!" and "A spin-off featuring her past episodes would be great," and "Please, official-san, even a mini-anime about Aula would be appreciated!"
