TV anime Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (JP: スーパーの裏でヤニ吸うふたり) has been officially confirmed to air in July 2026, with the teaser key visual and teaser promotional video newly unveiled.

The teaser key visual depicts Sasaki voiced by Takuya Sato and Tayama voiced by Seena Hoshiki, sitting side by side in a smoking area behind a supermarket, cigarettes in hand.

Although they are seated next to each other, their gazes are directed in opposite directions, quietly expressing the delicate emotional distance between two adults.

The teaser PV marks the first reveal of animated footage from the series. It portrays the ordinary day of Sasaki, an overworked corporate salaryman overwhelmed by an endless workload, stopping by the supermarket on his way home looking exhausted.

Unable to find a place to smoke, Sasaki lets out a deep sigh. At that moment, he is approached by a mysterious woman named Tayama, who leads him to a hidden smoking area behind the supermarket.

As they share a cigarette together, Tayama softly says, “Come again, Sasaki,” while Sasaki responds with a shy expression. Their brief interaction hints at the beginning of their relationship and raises anticipation for the conversation driven drama that unfolds behind the supermarket.
