High School! Kimengumi Episode 2 Story & Preview Cuts Released

The story and preview images for Episode 2 of the TV anime High School! Kimengumi have been revealed. This episode will air on Friday, January 16 at 11:00 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 2 Story

Part A
One week after graduating from Ichio Junior High School, or rather after its explosive finale. Rei and the others enroll at Ichio High School, only to find that, by some strange twist of fate, many familiar faces from their old middle school have gathered there as well. New and highly eccentric classmates soon join the mix, but despite waking up extra early on his very first day of school, Rei is nowhere to be found.

Part B
Shinjitsu finally manages to ask Yui out on a date. However, Chie, Nikaido, and of course the Kimengumi tag along as an added bonus. At the bowling alley they visit, events take an unexpected turn, and their classmates somehow end up starting a bowling match with Yui herself as the prize.

Introduction

Rei Ichido, Gou Reietsu, Kiyoshi Shusse, Jin Daima, and Dai Monohoshi technically attend junior high school, but each of them has repeated a grade and possesses an eccentric, over-the-top personality. Because of this, they are widely recognized as the school’s infamous oddball group known as the “Kimengumi.”

Transfer student Yui Kawa, together with her classmate Chie Uru, witnesses the Kimengumi in action. Finding them intriguing, she gradually begins to spend time with them.

At this “technical” junior high school, there are also many other distinctive groups: the popular-with-girls “Irootokogumi,” led by the handsome Shō Kireide; the delinquent gang “Bangumi,” led by You Nihiruda; the athletic “Udegumi,” led by Kai Undō; and the tough-girl gang “Omegumi,” led by Jako Amano.

Time passes in the blink of an eye after their fateful meeting, and before long, they welcome a new spring―――.
