About PokéPark Kanto and Its Main Areas

PokéPark Kanto is a completely new themed area covering approximately 2.6 hectares, developed through large scale renovations of existing facilities within Yomiuriland as well as the development of previously unused land. The park allows visitors to experience an adventure through a Pokémon filled trainers area that includes both forest and town environments inhabited by more than 600 Pokémon, offering unforgettable discoveries for all trainers.

One of the main highlights is the approximately 500 meter long area known as Pokémon Forest. This richly varied forest features uneven paths, grassy areas, tunnels, and mountain trails, creating diverse terrain where visitors can carefully observe the ecology of Pokémon primarily from the Kanto region.

Because Pokémon Forest is a natural environment with stairways and steep slopes, entry restrictions are in place to ensure visitor safety. According to the official ticket information, individuals who meet certain conditions are not permitted to enter even if accompanied by a caregiver. These restrictions include children under five years old and visitors who are unable to climb a staircase of 110 steps.

For those who are unable to enter Pokémon Forest or who wish to access only Kayatsuri Town, preparations are underway to begin selling a Town Pass for entry starting around the summer of 2026.
