On January 9, a stage greeting was held in Tokyo on the opening day of the revival screening of Attack on Titan The Final Season THE LAST ATTACK. Appearing on stage were Yuki Kaji, the voice of Eren Yeager, Yui Ishikawa, who voices Mikasa Ackerman, Marina Inoue, the voice of Armin Arlert, and director Yuichiro Hayashi.

This marked the first full reunion of the main voice cast since a voice actor event held during the film’s initial release in December 2024. With the occasion being a revival screening, the cast admitted they were unsure what tone to strike for the greeting. Pointing to Inoue, Kaji joked that they had talked about keeping things light, saying everyone understood the situation so they could just relax and laugh. However, he soon noticed audience members in tears and commented on it from the stage.

Inoue reacted with surprise, saying that she thought fans might have built up emotional resistance to Attack on Titan by now, which led to shared laughter among the cast and audience. Throughout the event, they reflected on the series through fan messages, alternating between lighthearted moments and serious discussion.

Toward the end of the event, a surprise message from original creator Hajime Isayama was introduced. Responding to it, Kaji delivered a passionate address, saying that the so called never ending finale would likely continue to grow and be added to over time. He expressed hope that fans would still be talking about the series ten years from now or even two thousand years later, and encouraged everyone to charge forward with Attack on Titan without hesitation.

Kaji concluded by declaring that he would continue to fight and fight and fight and fight, asking for continued support for the series. To close the event, the cast led the audience in the iconic phrase “Dedicate your hearts!” striking the familiar pose with fists to their chests. Kaji further energized the crowd by playfully referencing a well known English phrase from a Japanese prime minister’s inaugural speech, expressing hope that Attack on Titan will continue to be passed down and remembered for years to come.

Attack on Titan is a dark fantasy series created by Hajime Isayama that was serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. The manga has surpassed 140 million copies in circulation worldwide. The television anime began airing in 2013, with Attack on Titan The Final Season concluding with its final chapters broadcast in November 2023.
