A Grand Finale to an Epic Saga
Directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, the 145-minute feature film brings the Attack on Titan saga to its climactic conclusion. Based on the manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama, serialized from September 2009 to April 2021 in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine (Kodansha), the story follows humanity’s desperate fight against man-eating Titans while confined within massive walls. At the heart of the dark fantasy narrative are Eren Yeager, who dreams of exploring the outside world, the fearless warrior Mikasa Ackerman, and the brilliant tactician Armin Arlert.
With over 140 million copies of the manga sold worldwide, Attack on Titan has won multiple manga awards. The TV anime adaptation began airing in 2013, culminating in the final chapter broadcast in November 2023. A live-action adaptation starring the late Haruma Miura was released in 2015, and a Hollywood film adaptation is currently in the works.
