The story and preview images for Episode 1 of the anime TRIGUN STARGAZE have been revealed. This episode is scheduled to air on Saturday, January 10 at 11:00 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 1 Story

The major catastrophe known as Lost July, in which the great city of July was reduced to a massive crater overnight, shook the entire world. Vash the Stampede, who was branded the mastermind behind the incident and saddled with an unprecedented bounty of 60 billion double dollars, has remained missing ever since.

Two and a half years later, Meryl has grown into a resilient reporter. Together with her junior colleague Milly Thompson, she begins investigating Vash’s whereabouts. As a series of plant robbery incidents resurfaces after a six month lull, the shadow of Millions Knives once again looms large. Meanwhile, news breaks of a massive immigrant fleet approaching from Earth, filling the city’s residents with celebration and hope.

Two and a half years have passed since Lost July, the catastrophe that shook the world and reduced an entire city to ruin. Now a senior reporter, Meryl continues searching for Vash alongside her junior colleague Milly, during which she reunites with Nicholas. As incidents of plant theft begin occurring once again, they sense the shadow of Millions Knives and his faction behind them.

Meanwhile, Vash has been living quietly under the name Eriks in a remote frontier town. There, a girl named Jessica appears before him, bringing an SOS from the third ship, Home. Determined to protect those dear to him, Vash resolves to sever the ties of his past.

As their respective fates intertwine and the story begins to move once more, a transmission pours in from the depths of space:
“We are an immigrant fleet from Earth. Those who wish may journey with us to a new frontier.”

Joy and excitement erupt. Yet as if mocking that hope, the resurrected one-winged angel brings despair and terror. On a planet descending into madness and chaos, destiny finally reaches its conclusion.
