The manga Jujutsu Kaisen has surpassed 150 million copies in worldwide circulation, including digital editions, it was announced on the 20th. The series previously reached the 100 million mark on September 30, 2024, the same day its serialization concluded. Although no further updates had been released since then, the latest figures reveal that circulation increased by 50 million copies in just one year and three months, demonstrating that the franchise remains immensely popular even after its conclusion.

In addition, the first volume of the new short run spin off manga Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo (Jujutsu Kaisen ≡), which has been serialized since September, is scheduled for release on January 5, 2026. Reflecting on the strong response, a representative commented that even after the end of its six and a half year run, the series continues to captivate audiences around the world.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy series that follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who becomes entangled in a world of curses and battles after the seal of a powerful cursed object is broken. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024.
The television anime first aired from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by the theatrical film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in December 2021, which became a massive hit with worldwide box office earnings of 26.5 billion yen. The second anime season aired from July to December 2023. The story will continue with Season 3, Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Arc Part 1, which begins airing on January 8, 2026, depicting a large scale deadly battle orchestrated by the mysterious and infamous sorcerer Kenjaku, in which cursed individuals are forced to fight one another.
