The highly anticipated Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Culling Game Part 1 has revealed major new details, including a teaser visual, promotional video, opening theme information, and a lineup of additional cast members. The television anime will premiere on the MBS and TBS networks on January 8, 2026 at 12:26 a.m. JST, with a one hour special broadcast for the first episode.

The newly announced cast includes Kazuya Nakai as Kinji Hakari, Yuki Sakakihara as Kirara Hoshi, Tomokazu Sugita as Hiromi Higuruma, Satoshi Tsurouka as Fumihiko Takaba, Yutaka Aoyama as Reggie Star, and Nico as Kogane.

Opening Theme and New Promotional Video

The opening theme for Season 3 will be performed by King Gnu, who have written a brand new song titled AIZO. Described as a cutting edge rock tune, the song represents a new evolution of the band’s signature style. Daiki Tsuneta of King Gnu commented that the band takes pride in having updated their classic sound and shared his excitement as a viewer looking forward to the Culling Game arc, adding that they hope audiences enjoy the explosive start to the new year.

The newly released PV showcases the full scale entry of third year Jujutsu High students Kinji Hakari and Kirara Hoshi into the Culling Game, alongside intense scenes featuring Choso and Naoya Zenin in battle. The video also introduces a mysterious girl with an angel like appearance.

At the same time, the PV depicts a tense and brutal confrontation between Yuji Itadori and Yuta Okkotsu, who share the same mentor, while also highlighting Yuji and Megumi Fushiguro as they step into the deadly ritual known as the Culling Game, a battle royale among sorcerers granted cursed techniques. New characters such as Fumihiko Takaba, Hiromi Higuruma, and Reggie Star also appear, making the PV a powerful preview that builds anticipation for Culling Game Part 1.

About Jujutsu Kaisen and Season 3

Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy series in which high school student Yuji Itadori is drawn into a world of cursed spirits and sorcerers after the seal on a powerful cursed object is broken. The manga, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024, has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation worldwide.

The first season of the television anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by the theatrical film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, released in December 2021, which became a global hit with worldwide box office earnings of approximately 26.5 billion yen. Season 2 aired from July to December 2023.
