JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run is set to stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide starting March 19, 2026, marking the long awaited arrival of one of the franchise’s most acclaimed arcs. The new anime installment, officially titled Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, will debut with its 1st STAGE, consisting of a single special episode with a runtime of 47 minutes. Alongside the announcement, new cast members were revealed. Masaaki Mizunaka will voice Sandman, while Kenichiro Matsuda will portray Pocoloco.

The newly released promotional video features Sandman and Pocoloco making their first appearances, complete with voiced dialogue that confirms their casting. Previously announced cast members include Shogo Sakata as Johnny Joestar, Yohei Azakami as Gyro Zeppeli, Kaito Ishikawa as Diego Brando, Rie Takahashi as Lucy Steel, and Kenta Miyake as Steven Steel.

Part 7 of the JoJo series is set in late nineteenth century America and centers on the first ever horseback race across the North American continent. The story follows Johnny Joestar, a former genius jockey who has lost the use of his legs, and the mysterious outlaw Gyro Zeppeli. The two form an alliance as they compete in the race, driven by a massive cash prize.

As the competitors push toward the finish line, a dangerous conspiracy unfolds behind the scenes, turning the race into a life threatening battle. The narrative portrays Johnny and Gyro’s journey as they confront both physical challenges and hidden threats in their pursuit of victory.

The original Steel Ball Run manga was serialized from January 2004 to April 2011. The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series itself began in 1987 in Weekly Shonen Jump and is the work of manga creator Hirohiko Araki. Spanning from Part 1 through Part 9, the saga depicts the bloodline and fate of the Joestar family, beginning with Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando.

With its central theme of celebrating humanity, the series explores the courage to face fear and overcome adversity, regardless of moral alignment. Known for its distinctive character poses, innovative sound effects, and unforgettable dialogue, the franchise has earned global acclaim. Total manga circulation has surpassed 120 million copies worldwide, with adaptations spanning games, television anime, live action films, and dramas. The manga is currently continuing with Part 9, The JOJOLands, serialized in Ultra Jump.
