Episode 11 Story
The Coming-of-Age Ceremony site, once bustling with people, has become eerily quiet in the aftermath of Namatame’s violent rampage.
Sitting alone at the deserted festival grounds, Namatame eats yakisoba when Sanda appears before him.
Determined to confront Namatame as a child, Sanda launches into a fight. Yet the accumulated strain from all his past battles begins to take its toll, and his body starts breaking down.
Meanwhile, Ono, now separated from Fuyumura, feels her own physical abnormalities intensifying…
Introduction
The stage is near-future Japan, facing an era of extreme population decline.
Children, regarded as the nation’s treasures, are strictly managed and protected in a fully residential academy under the control of adults. Meanwhile, Santa Claus (once a figure who gave dreams and hope to children) has been branded a dangerous threat, marked for elimination.
On December 25, as snow falls, junior high student Kazushige Sanda suddenly finds himself targeted by his classmate, Shiori Fuyumura.
She has discovered that Sanda is a descendant of Santa Claus and sought him out to grant her wish.
“Santa, please find my friend.”
Shiori’s wish is to find her missing best friend, Ichie Ono.
To protect the children, Sanda resolves to take up the mantle of Santa Claus and fight against the adults!
The original work is by Paru Itagaki, creator of BEASTARS, which won the Manga Taisho 2018 Grand Prize and swept four major manga awards.
Animation production is handled by Science SARU, the acclaimed studio behind Dandadan and Your Colors.
