The new anime special for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will air at the end of the year, with the main PV, theme song, and broadcast details now revealed. The special episode, titled Kaguya-sama: Love Is War: The Stairway to Adulthood (JP: かぐや様は告らせたい 大人への階段), will premiere on December 31 at 10 p.m. on TOKYO MX and other networks. The opening theme, Abunai Kioku, will be performed by Masayuki Suzuki featuring Aoi Koga.

Set in the elite Shuchiin Academy, the series follows the romantic mind games between Vice President Kaguya Shinomiya and Student Council President Miyuki Shirogane. Although they clearly have feelings for each other, their pride prevents them from confessing, leading to a psychological battle over who will make the first move. The manga began serialization in Miracle Jump in 2015, transferred to Weekly Young Jump in 2016, and concluded in 2022. The first anime season aired in 2019, followed by seasons in 2020 and 2022. The series was also adapted into a live action film starring Sho Hirano and Kanna Hashimoto.

Masayuki Suzuki, a veteran Japanese singer, shared a message celebrating his return to the series after approximately three years:
