The project will be produced by TOHO animation, with Studio Orange, known for Godzilla Singular Point, partnering with Thailand based Igloo Studio. In the more than seventy years since Godzilla’s birth, it is unprecedented for the protagonist to possess kaiju powers. The concept art unveiled during the event shows a boy preparing to unleash Godzilla’s signature radioactive heat ray.

TOHO executive Keiji Ota, who serves as Chief Godzilla Officer, described the new work as an opportunity to explore both fear and hope in today’s world through the lens of a boy carrying Godzilla’s power. He noted that Godzilla has always reflected the era in which each work was created.

Studio Orange producer Kiyotaka Waki stated that he hopes to channel the studio’s technical expertise and creative direction, cultivated through projects such as Godzilla S.P, into this new challenge. Igloo Studio Founder and CEO Nat Yoswatananont expressed his honor in joining the project and shared his desire to capture the emotions held by people around the world and weave them into Godzilla’s narrative.

The global success of Godzilla x Kong The New Empire, which surpassed seventy four point five billion yen worldwide, as well as the Academy Award win for Godzilla Minus One, has brought renewed international attention to the franchise. With Takashi Yamazaki’s next film Godzilla Minus Zero already in production, anticipation continues to grow regarding the story and direction of this bold new anime series.
