"Useless Skill 'Berry Master'" Anime Adaptation Announced; Celebration Illustration Revealed
The comic "Useless Skill 'Berry Master' The Story of How I Became Able to Eat the Fruit (That Kills You If You Eat It) Infinitely," serialized in Kodansha's "Wednesday Sirius" and based on the novel from "Shousetsuka ni Narou," has been confirmed for a TV anime adaptation.
The story follows a boy named Light, who dreams of becoming the greatest adventurer. However, the skill he acquires, "Berry Master," is deemed useless, as it only allows him to cultivate berries and has no combat abilities. Light's path to becoming an adventurer seems closed, but one day he accidentally discovers that "Berry Master" is actually a super cheat skill, setting the stage for a grand success fantasy story.
To celebrate the anime adaptation announcement, congratulatory comments and illustrations from the original creators have been released.

"It's being adapted into an anime!
I remember posting the first chapter of Berry Master on the web in May 2020.
It was around the time COVID-19 started spreading, and many bookstores were closing down. I was worried if Berry Master would even be noticed.
But thanks to Matsukoto-san, who took on the manga adaptation, it has now become a work worthy of an anime adaptation.
I am deeply grateful to everyone involved with this work and to all the readers!
Please enjoy the anime as well!!"
