Hathaway became a major hit, earning 2.23 billion yen at the box office. The series originates from the “UC NexT 0100” project, commemorating the Gundam franchise’s 40th anniversary in 2019 and exploring the century following the Universal Century timeline. The story inherits the worldview of the 1988 film Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, depicting the clash between the anti-Earth Federation movement Mafty, its leader Hathaway Noa, the enigmatic girl Gigi Andalucia, and Federation Colonel Kenneth Sleg.

Cast Comments

Soma Saito (Lane Aim)
I had been eagerly waiting for the day I could once again voice Lane. I believe he too has been longing for the chance to settle things with Hathaway. I poured all of my passion and intensity into the role. Even at the recording stage, the visuals were already extremely high in quality. I am excited to see how they look in the final version. I hope everyone will experience it in theaters.

Kenjiro Tsuda (Gawman Nobil)
Thank you for waiting. The second chapter of Hathaway is finally here. Ever since the last film, many people have repeatedly asked when the continuation would arrive. Each time, I told them to look forward to it because it would return with quality that meets expectations. And now, it has returned with exactly that quality. Please enjoy.

Shunsuke Takeuchi (Iram Masam)
I am thrilled that we can deliver Hathaway to everyone once again. During recording, I had the chance to discuss many things about Iram, and his portrayal has become quite intriguing. The dialogue, phrasing, and worldbuilding that only Hathaway can offer remain captivating. This time especially, I feel the sense of “pause” is expressed exceptionally well. This film experience is unique to Hathaway. Please look forward to it.

Saori Hayami (Kelia Dace)
The release of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe is finally approaching. For Kelia, her relationship with Hathaway begins to shift little by little in this film. Watching the future he moves toward and the choices he makes, I approached the recording with the hope of expressing Kelia’s inner feelings as she wavers and chooses her own path. Please look forward to the release.

Hiroshi Shirokuma (Brinks Wedge)
Despite his carefree attitude and habit of running around shirtless, he’s actually more perceptive than he appears. He lives the kind of life I truly admire. I hope viewers enjoy the gap between his easygoing nature and his unexpectedly observant side. Fans of the Gundam series often discover memorable moments even in just a few seconds of footage, so I hope you’ll rewatch the film multiple times and find your own highlights.
