Manga “Yona of the Dawn” to Conclude in December, Ending Its 16-Year Run: A Beloved Epic Fantasy Comes to a Close

The popular manga “Yona of the Dawn” by Mizuho Kusanagi will reach its conclusion in the Hana to Yume magazine (Issue No. 2, Hakusensha) releasing on December 19.

The series follows Princess Yona, whose father, the king, is killed in a coup by her beloved cousin Soo-won. Forced into exile, Yona grows stronger through encounters with various people as she confronts her fate. The manga inspired a TV anime adaptation in 2014.

Serialized since 2009 Issue No. 17, the story has been loved by readers for 16 years. Leading up to the grand finale, Hana to Yume magazine will feature several special projects, including bonus replica illustrations and exclusive acrylic stand merchandise, available only through the magazine.

Additionally, Animate stores will release a special edition of the issue featuring the final chapter, bundled with a paid bonus item (an A4-size acrylic plate) available in limited quantities.
