The new Digimon anime, DIGIMON BEATBREAK, will premiere on October 5, and its theme songs have just been announced. The opening theme, "Mad Pulse" by MADKID, has an aggressive sound. The main character of this tenth television series is Tomoro Tenma, a 15-year-old high school freshman. His partner Digimon is Gekkomon, a Reptile-type Data Digimon in the Rookie stage. This is the first new Digimon TV anime in two years, following Digimon Ghost Game (2021 to 2023).
The story takes place in a world where human thoughts and emotions generate an energy called “e-Pulse,” which powers an AI support device known as “SapotaMa.” Amid rapid technological development, terrifying creatures emerge, Digimon, lifeforms that evolve by consuming e-Pulse. Tomoro’s encounter with Gekkomon, who suddenly appears from his SapotaMa, draws him into extraordinary events and sets the stage for a new future between humans and Digimon.
Since its debut as a handheld game in 1997 and its first anime Digimon Adventure in 1999, the Digimon franchise has introduced over 1,000 Digimon within the ever-evolving Digital World. With themes of friendship and growth, the franchise has produced nine TV series and eleven movies, beloved across generations.

As a digital native, I always felt that Digimon were right there whenever I touched a computer or mobile phone as a child. Being part of Digimon is amazing. In "Mad Pulse," we sing about the good and bad parts of living in a changing world. I hope this song can become your partner.

This is the first time I've written a song specifically for an anime, and I'm thrilled to take on this new challenge while staying true to the story and its characters. In everyday life, it's easy to lose sight of what truly matters to you. I wrote this song to motivate my listeners to trust their instincts and pursue their dreams. I hope this becomes a song that can gently push forward everyone watching the anime and listening to the music.
