The latest Demon Slayer film, Infinity Castle Arc: Part 1 – Akaza Returns, has reached a domestic box office total of ¥28.08 billion ($187 million) in just 38 days since its July 18 release. With a total audience of over 19.82 million, the film has surpassed Titanic (¥27.77 billion) to become Japan’s third highest-grossing film of all time, following Mugen Train and Spirited Away.

According to the latest data, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc: Part 1 – Akaza Returns brought in over ¥28.08 billion ($187 million) in just 38 days, overtaking Titanic, which had held the third spot since its 1997 release with ¥27.77 billion. The audience count reached 19,825,555, reflecting sustained strong attendance since opening day. This milestone places the film just behind Mugen Train (¥40.75 billion) and Spirited Away (¥31.68 billion) in Japan’s all-time box office rankings.
