Dekin no Mogura Episode 8 Story & Previews Released: Mogura Meets Yaeko’s Ancestor

The story and preview images for Episode 8 of the TV anime Dekin no Mogura: The Earthbound Mole (JP: 出禁のモグラ, Dekin no Mogura) have been released. The episode will air in Japan on Sunday, August 25 at 10:00 PM JST, followed by international streaming on various platforms.

Episode 8 Story

To investigate the local festival that pacifies the Ningyo (merfolk), Magi and his companions travel to Yaeko’s family home. There, Mogura encounters Yaeko’s great-grandfather, Yuuya.

As the festival begins, countless spirits gather around the offshore “Sacred Ningyo Rock,” and a gigantic merfolk spirit emerges from the sea. Meanwhile, Yaeko spots her former classmate, Mori, and calls out to him. But wrapped in an unsettling aura, Mori silently leaves the scene…

Introduction

Mogura, a self-proclaimed sage who’s been banned from the afterlife, sets out on a quest to collect “lights” from spirits in order to return to the other side. This mysterious tale of life and death follows the strange encounters of those who, after meeting Mogura, begin to see things beyond the ordinary.
