The TV anime My Hero Academia (HeroAca) enters its eighth and final season, My Hero Academia Final Season, premiering October 4 (Saturdays at 5:30 PM). The opening theme has been announced as “THE REVO” by PornoGraffitti, marking their return since Season 1. A new main PV has also been released, showcasing a glimpse of the song alongside intense scenes from the climactic battle between Deku and Tomura Shigaraki.

PornoGraffitti commented, “It has been about nine years since we provided the Season 1 opening theme for My Hero Academia. We are honored to once again create a theme for the Final Season. We hope this song will inspire the characters striving to turn the impossible into possible, and also encourage everyone watching.”

Back in 2016, their Season 1 opening theme “THE DAY” energized fans and remains one of the franchise’s most iconic songs. Now, after nine years, THE REVO carries the same spirit of uplifting both characters and fans. With a straightforward yet fiery melody and lyrics themed around a “revolution within the mind,” the full version is highly anticipated.

The newly released PV lets fans hear part of THE REVO while previewing scenes from the Final Season, featuring the decisive confrontation between Deku and the ultimate villain Shigaraki, who has become the embodiment of destruction. While Shigaraki seeks to annihilate everything, Deku continues to fight to save even the faint trace of the “crying boy” he once glimpsed inside Shigaraki. Despite his own suffering, Deku battles selflessly as a true hero, supported by the voices of people cheering him on. The trailer blends overwhelming battle sequences with deeply emotional drama, amplifying anticipation for the anime’s Final Season.
