The story and preview images for Episode 7 of the TV anime The Summer Hikaru Died (JP: 光が死んだ夏, Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu) have been released. The episode will air in Japan on Sunday, August 17 at 0:55 AM (JST), and will be available on streaming platforms worldwide shortly thereafter.

Still feeling guilty for attacking Yoshiki, Hikaru is weighed down with remorse. However, Yoshiki, seemingly unfazed, proposes they skip school—and takes Hikaru out into town.

While the choral competition is underway back at school, the two of them head to the movie theater. As they spend time together, Yoshiki continues to sense that Hikaru is somehow “different” from a normal human being…
