On August 13, Yoshikazu Iwanami, sound director for the TV anime JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run, posted an update on X regarding the current production status.

“I want an Emmy Award for Best Sound. What should I do? lol,” he added.

A live-streamed event revealing new information about the anime is scheduled for September 23, with further details to be announced at a later date.

The seventh part in the series is set in late 19th-century America and tells the story of the first-ever horseback race across the North American continent. The protagonist, Johnny Joestar, is a former genius jockey who became paraplegic. He teams up with the mysterious outlaw Gyro Zeppeli, and together they advance through the race.
