"Kingdom" Season 6 Main Visual Reveals Shin, Ou hon, Mou Ten, and Ou Sen, Plus New Qin Characters and Voice Cast — Kan Jou Role Recast Due to Health Reasons

The upcoming sixth season of the TV anime Kingdom, set to air on NHK General starting October 5, will be broadcast every Sunday at 12:10 a.m. (technically late Saturday night at 12:10 a.m.). Alongside this announcement, a striking main visual featuring Shin, Ou Hon, Mou Ten, and Ou Sen — heading into the fierce battle for Gyou — has been revealed. In addition, character visuals and voice cast for five new Qin army characters — A Kou, Ma Kou, A Ka Kin, Kitari, and Katari — have been unveiled. It was also announced that the role of Kan Jou will be recast due to the actor's health reasons.

The main visual depicts Shin, Mou Ten, and Ou Hon — the new generation leaders — alongside Ou Sen, the brilliant strategist commanding the Gyou siege and father of Ou Hon. Shin is shown holding Ou Ki’s glaive, with the four bracing themselves for the imminent battle against Zhao. In Season 6, the Qin army launches a full-scale war against Zhao. To counter Zhao’s genius strategist Ri boku, a coalition army is formed under Ou Sen, Kan Ki, and Yo Tan Wa. Additionally, Shin’s Hi Shin Unit, Mou Ten’s Gaku Ka Unit, and Ou Hon’s Gyoku Hou Unit will join as independent detachments, heightening expectations for the new generation and setting the stage for a battle of wits between Ou Sen and Ri Boku — as well as Shin finally taking Ouki’s entrusted weapon into battle.

The five newly introduced Qin army characters are voiced as follows: A Kou by Koji Takeda, Makou by Dai Matsumoto, A Ka Kin by Shinnosuke Tachibana, Kitari by Yoshino Nanjo, and Katari by Masaaki Mizunaka. A Kou, the first general of Ou Sen’s army, is a fierce warrior who meets enemies head-on and commands Ou Sen’s utmost trust. Ma Kou, considered Ou Sen’s “right arm,” combines powerful offensive capabilities with cunning strategies to secure repeated victories. A Ka Kin, a 1,000-man commander under A Kou’s army, is known as the “bad boy” for his brash personality but boasts exceptional offensive and breakthrough abilities. The “Mountain Tribe Army” led by Yo Tan Wa also joins the coalition. Among them are the “Mera Tribe” — Katari, the wise and respected young chief with excellent leadership skills, and his sister Kitari, a warrior of exceptional combat ability despite her sharp tongue, beloved by her comrades. With their forces further strengthened, Qin marches decisively toward the capture of Gyou.
