Episode 5 Story

When news of the crisis at Oni Corporation’s Kyoto branch breaks, Naito Mudano wastes no time. He quickly leads Shiki Ichinose and the others to the scene, ready to offer whatever help they can. But Kyoto is already a battlefield. Tsubakiri Momomiya, the fierce captain of the Momotaro Corporation’s combat unit, has launched a full-scale assault. At her side is vice-captain Yomogi Momokusa, and together they’re pushing forward with a plan that’s as ruthless as it is terrifying.

Inside the Kyoto branch, chaos reigns. The wounded keep pouring in, and the medics are barely holding it together. Seeing the situation, Mudano makes a call—he leaves Shiki and the rest in the hands of Kyoya Oiranzaka, the cool-headed commander of the support squad, and rushes off to the front lines himself, determined to halt the Momotaro onslaught.

As Jin Kougasaki and the team jump into the relief efforts, Shiki is given a more delicate task. He’s asked to look after a little girl named Mei, who was rescued during the raid but tragically separated from her parents. With his usual bright smile and gentle tone, Shiki tries to comfort her, doing his best to keep her spirits up.
But then, the unthinkable happens. Among the latest casualties brought in… are the bodies of Mei’s parents.

The bloodlines of Oni and Momotaro have been passed down through a select group of humans. Ages ago, the Oni, fully aware of their own violent tendencies, chose to live in seclusion. But the Momotaro attacked them, initiating an age-long conflict. Both sides established organizations—the Oni Corporation and the Momotaro Agency—and their war has raged for millennia.

One day, Shiki Ichinose learns the shocking truth about his bloodline following a surprise Momotaro attack. From that moment, he is bound by destiny, encountering the Oni dwelling within him. Thus begins a new generation of dark hero demon saga.
