Anime production company Gaina, known for titles such as Baban Baban Ban Vampire and Grendizer U, announced on August 1 that it has officially changed its company name to BENTEN Film Inc.

Renowned for its animation production under the brand name “Studio Pierrot,” Pierrot Co., Ltd. announced on August 1 via its official website that the company has formally changed its corporate name to “Studio Pierrot Inc.”
In the announcement, the studio stated:
“As of August 1, 2025, our company has changed its name from Pierrot Co., Ltd. to Studio Pierrot Inc.”
Founded in 1979, the company has long been involved in the planning and production of numerous animated works. Explaining the decision, the studio noted:
“Since our founding, the name 'Studio Pierrot'—cherished by both fans and creators—has embodied our origin and pride. In today’s rapidly evolving anime industry, with ongoing acquisitions and restructuring among studios, we have chosen to return to our roots. Under the banner of 'Studio Pierrot,' we renew our commitment as a unified team to delivering even higher-quality works.”
The statement concluded by expressing appreciation:
“This year marks our 46th anniversary. With heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us thus far, we will continue to create inspiring works with the same unwavering passion and spirit of challenge. We sincerely ask for your continued support and patronage.”
Studio Pierrot is best known for works such as Mr. Osomatsu, Kingdom, and Honey Lemon Soda.
