Gachiakuta Episode 4 Story & Scene Previews Released: Rudo Begins Cleaner Training

The story and preview stills for Episode 4 of the TV anime Gachiakuta have been released. The episode will air in Japan on Sunday, August 3, at 11:30 PM JST, and will be available on streaming platforms worldwide shortly after.

In Episode 3, Rudo finally came face-to-face with his mentor, Zanka (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka).

In Episode 4, Rudo visits the headquarters of the Cleaners. There, he encounters the diverse members of the group, including Semiu (voiced by Miho Sonozaki), a Giver who works the reception desk and can see through people’s true nature using her Vital Instrument, the Eyes.

Although they are not Givers, the supporters—Gris (voiced by Satoshi Hino), Follo (voiced by Koki Ura), and Tomme (voiced by Hisako Tojo)—also make their appearance, offering their backup to the Givers.

Episode 4 Story

Subtitle: Cleaner HQ (JP: 掃除屋本部, Sojiya Honbu)

Rudo is brought to the Cleaners' headquarters, where he is promised a meeting with their boss—someone rumored to know a way back to the Heavenly Realm. However, the boss is absent due to a wandering habit, and without official approval, Rudo can't work as a full-fledged Cleaner.
Instead, he's assigned to hunt down a small Trash Beast as a trainee—but what he ends up facing is a massive one...

Character Introduction:
A female Giver who works at the reception desk of Cleaner HQ. Her Vital Instrument, the Eyes, enhances dynamic vision and can discern the essence of a person when used at full power.

Gris (voiced by Satoshi Hino)

Character Introduction:
A kind and dependable big-brother figure among the supporters, Gris always looks out for his comrades. His grip is so strong that he can easily crush the armor of ordinary Trash Beasts.

Follo (voiced by Koki Ura)

I’m Koki Urawa, the voice of Follo. He supports Rudo alongside Gris and Tomme, but he’s also in training to become a Giver himself. I hope you’ll look forward to how his journey unfolds after meeting Rudo.

Character Introduction:
A young boy who joined the Cleaners to eliminate Trash Beasts. Lacking powers, he works as a supporter but is currently nurturing something important in order to become a Giver.

When I first encountered the original manga, I was struck by its intense energy and gritty tone. I’m truly honored to be part of this production. As Tomme and as a member of the Cleaners, I’ll do my utmost to support this story.

Character Introduction:
The Cleaners' record keeper. She’s obsessed with documentation, sketching and taking notes on Trash Beasts even during dangerous battles. She records everything she sees and hears—not just Trash Beasts.

Introduction

Gachiakuta is a battle action series featuring an orphan boy named Rudo, born in a slum where the descendants of criminals live.
People in the slums are looked down upon and discriminated against as “tribesfolk” by those who live beyond its walls.
Rudo lives together with Regto, the man who raised him, and makes ends meet using his extraordinary physical abilities, despite being called a “trash raider.”
Then one day, he’s falsely accused of a crime and dropped into a fearsome abyss known as the Pit.
