‘Medalist’ Anime Season 2 to Premiere in January 2026 with Teaser Visual & PV Released — Special Collaboration with Figure Skating Broadcast Also Announced

The second season of the TV anime Medalist is set to begin airing in January 2026 in the NUMAnimation programming block on the TV Asahi network. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and teaser promotional video (PV) were released on July 27.

The teaser showcases the main characters in newly designed outfits for Season 2. The story will now shift to the Chubu Regional Championships, where the protagonists aim to qualify for the All-Japan Championships. With Inori and Tsukasa preparing for their next challenge, fans eagerly await to see whether they will claim the victory medal.

Additionally, it was announced that Medalist will participate in TV Asahi’s “SUMMER FES” at Roppongi Hills. On August 14, a special one-day-only stage event will be held at the SUMMER FES LIVE Arena (Roppongi Hills Arena) in Tokyo. Natsumi Haruse (voice of Inori) and Takeo Otsuka (voice of Tsukasa) will appear on stage, joined by professional figure skater Akiko Suzuki—who also continues as choreographer for the anime's second season—and TV Asahi’s main figure skating caster Shuzo Matsuoka, known for his Grand Prix Series and Final coverage.
