The anime My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's is set to begin airing in October 2025 on TV Tokyo, BS Fuji, Animax, and other networks. Alongside the announcement, the first promotional video (PV) has also been released.

Based on the Japanese light novel 暗殺者である俺のステータスが勇者よりも明らかに強いのだが, the story follows high school student Akira Oda, who is summoned to another world along with his classmates. While everyone else receives powerful cheat abilities, Akira—due to his low presence—ends up with the seemingly modest skill of an “assassin.” However, his stats inexplicably surpass even those of the strongest class: the Hero.

Framed for a crime he didn’t commit, Akira flees into the depths of a dungeon, where he meets Amelia Rosequartz, a beautiful elf girl. Thus begins the tale of a boy blessed with the powers of an assassin, and his journey toward becoming a true master of the art, with an elf companion by his side.

Takeo Ōtsuka voices the protagonist Akira Oda, while Saku Mizuno plays the heroine Amelia Rosequartz. The newly announced cast includes Sanae Kobayashi as Yoru, a magical beast resembling a black cat encountered in the dungeon; Konomi Tamura as Lia Lagoon, a mysterious girl who knows the secret behind the summoning; and Junichi Suwabe as Saran Mithray, the leader of the Reitis Kingdom's knights who summoned Akira and his classmates.
