The upcoming official spin-off novel Golden Kamuy: The Vow of Tokushiro Tsurumi, set for release on October 17, will include a bundled Blu-ray featuring two brand-new anime episodes: The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin (稲妻強盗と蝮のお銀) and Shimaenaga. On July 2, the production team announced new characters and their voice actors appearing in these episodes.

In The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin, Koichi Yamadera voices Keiichiro Sakamoto, a lightning-fast thief, while Kotono Mitsuishi plays Ogin the Viper, a deadly female bandit. Yamadera shared his excitement about the pairing, saying, “The moment I heard Kotono Mitsuishi’s performance as Ogin in the studio, all my nerves disappeared and I thought, ‘Yes!’ It was a joy to record.”

Mitsuishi also spoke passionately about her role, stating, “I set aside any notions of good and evil and threw myself into the role with a passionate and destructive energy. Being with Kei-san made everything feel truly blissful.”

In the mini-episode Shimaenaga, voice acting legend Ikue Otani takes on the role of the adorable Shimaenaga bird.

To commemorate the release, the production team has also launched a special online feature titled Golden Kamuy Partner Compatibility Test. The tagline reads, “Drawn together by danger,” allowing fans to discover which character would be their ideal partner—just like the fearsome yet inseparable duo of Keiichiro Sakamoto and Ogin.
