The teaser PV reveals glimpses into Lara’s backstory and her encounter with a prince. The video concludes with her voice debuting the emotionally charged line, “I… I’ve fallen in love.” Lara is voiced by Hana Hishikawa, known for her roles as Yui Nagomi/Cure Precious in Delicious Party Pretty Cure and Minami Shiunji in The Children of the Shiunji Family.

Additionally, the “mermaid princess” version of Lara has been revealed. In celebration of Lake Biwa Day, postcards featuring this visual were distributed to participants in the “Beautify Lake Biwa” campaign, a community clean-up event held in the Otsu area.

The anime’s second wave of staff announcements was also revealed. Anna Kawahara, known for her screenplay work on My Life After Her, is credited with series composition, while Yuma Yamaguchi (Link Click, The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window) will compose the music. Previously announced staff include director Takushi Koide (Revue Starlight, assistant director), character designer Shiori Tani (Made in Abyss, My Happy Marriage), and animation production by Kinema Citrus (The Rising of the Shield Hero, My Happy Marriage), who also originated the story.

Hana Hishikawa’s Comment

I'm Hana Hishikawa, and I will be voicing Lara. When I saw the storyboard in the audition materials, I was captivated—not only as a voice actor but also on a personal level—and I felt a deep desire to be part of this world. I’m incredibly happy and grateful to have been chosen and to live as Lara. I look forward to enjoying this journey together with everyone. Thank you so much for your support!
