The final episode of the TV anime My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, based on the official My Hero Academia spin-off series, aired on June 30. Along with the finale, it was announced that the anime will return for a second season in 2026. A teaser visual, an announcement video, and cast comment footage for Season 2 have also been released.

Episode 12, which aired on June 23, featured a vibrant stage performance by the special idol unit “FeatherHATS,” led by self-proclaimed freelance idol Pop☆Step. The episode also portrayed a fierce battle between Knuckleduster, who seeks to reclaim his daughter after overcoming his past, and Kuin Hachisuka, who hijacked his daughter’s body using her Queen Bee Quirk. The high-quality animation, showcasing both an idol stage and intense battle action, received enthusiastic responses not only from Japanese viewers but also from anime fans worldwide.

Following this widely praised episode, the final installment aired. Despite being caught up in an incident, the "Naru Fes" festival concluded in great success. Pop gained more confidence, and Koichi continued his vigilante activities, searching for his own way forward. Meanwhile, Knuckleduster, having finished his brutal fight with Hachisuka, watched over his now-recovered daughter Tamao Oguro in the hospital and renewed his resolve. The final episode illustrated how Koichi, Pop, and Knuckleduster each begin walking their respective paths.

Right after the ending scene, a video reflecting on Koichi and the other Vigilantes’ past adventures appeared, followed by the surprise announcement of the second season, accompanied by the teaser visual.

The newly unveiled teaser visual is a dramatic piece depicting the protagonist Koichi Haimawari (The Crawler), walking forward with a tense expression as the wind blows. Pop☆Step gazes at him with concern, while Knuckleduster walks away from the two. The image also introduces a mysterious villain with a scarred face, revealed after Episode 12. The visual strongly hints at a new battle to come.

Additionally, a video featuring Season 2 announcement comments by the main cast—Shūichirō Umeda (Koichi), Ikumi Hasegawa (Pop☆Step), and Yasuhiro Mamiya (Knuckleduster)—was released. The cast shared their joy in continuing the story, teased the appearance of new characters, and hinted at “that character’s iconic scene,” heightening fans’ anticipation for Season 2.
