The story and preview images for Episode 1 of the TV anime There's No Freaking Way I'll be Your Lover! Unless... (JP: Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wakenaijan, Muri Muri! ※Muri Janakatta!?, Watanare) have been released. The episode will air on Sunday, July 8 at 1:30 a.m. (JST) and will be available on streaming platforms worldwide shortly thereafter.

Episode 1

Renako Amaori, determined to leave behind her gloomy and awkward junior high days, makes a fresh start in high school. By sheer luck, she manages to join the school's most popular group of extroverts—success at last! Or so she thought. Still an introvert at heart, Renako quickly finds herself overwhelmed. Then, to make matters more confusing, she's suddenly confessed to by Mai Oduka, the school’s "supadari" (a Japanese slang term combining "super" and "darling" to describe an ideal high-spec guy—tall, smart, and rich). Wait a second—this isn’t the perfect high school life she imagined!?

Introduction

Renako Amaori, a socially awkward girl who spent her middle school years in solitude, reinvents herself for a fresh start in high school.
