A Reunion Decades in the Making: Gundam GQuuuuuuX Finale Surprises Fans

The final episode of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX aired late on June 24, delivering a surprise that left fans reeling with emotion. Legendary voice actor Tōru Furuya, known for his role as Amuro Ray in the original Mobile Suit Gundam, returned to the franchise—this time as a mysterious voice identified as the "Endymion Unit."

Adding to the nostalgia, iconic characters Char Aznable and Lalah Sune, voiced by Shūichi Ikeda and Keiko Han respectively, also made appearances. The trio’s involvement marked a symbolic reunion of the original series’ cast, now immortalized in this modern reimagining.
