Based on the hit manga by Naoya Matsumoto, serialized since 2020 on Shonen Jump+ (Shueisha), Kaiju No. 8 follows the Japan Defense Force as they battle monstrous threats in a Kaiju-ravaged society. The manga has sold 18 million copies, and the anime has recorded over 700 million views on Jump+ as of April 2025.
