First Battle at the Drum House
Inosuke's initial combat appearance comes during the mission at the Drum House (Tsuzumi Mansion), where his true abilities are first revealed. Initially attempting to flee from danger out of fear, he becomes cornered by a demon with the ability to manipulate the mansion's layout.

In this battle, Inosuke showcases his greatest characteristic: the use of "enhanced tactile sensation" in his fighting style. Despite wearing a boar's head that should limit his vision, he can accurately determine the demon's position through air currents and vibrations felt through his skin. He employs the original techniques of "Beast Breathing" to confuse enemies with unpredictable movements.

This battle established Inosuke's unique combat pattern: a combination of instinctual fighting relying on wild intuition and self-taught techniques. This was also the first time Tanjiro witnessed this duality, beginning his understanding of Inosuke's true potential.

Battle on Mt. Natagumo
During the battle against Rui's spider demon family, Inosuke faces off against a manipulated Demon Slayer. While trembling with fear, he shows the will to protect Nezuko's box (even though he had never seen her before).

This battle depicts not complete reliance on wild instincts, but Inosuke's growing willpower. He demonstrates his stance of facing challenges while consciously overcoming fear, proving that his desire to protect comrades can overcome his terror.

In the latter half of the battle, even while poisoned by spider venom, he continues to protect Nezuko's box until the end, further highlighting his dedication to his comrades. This experience becomes an important step in the growth of his human emotions.
