On April 18, 2025, Studio Pierrot and Asahi Production officially announced that they have entered into a capital and business alliance, solidifying a collaborative relationship that began with a business partnership in 2024.

The two studios—both recognized for their distinctive production strengths—will combine their capabilities to build a system that ensures the stable creation of high-quality anime content. Pierrot brings its decades-long experience in managing full-scale anime productions for long-running TV series, while Asahi Production contributes advanced photography, CG, and post-production expertise cultivated over many years.

Through their existing cooperation, which has already included co-productions and staff exchanges, both companies found that leveraging each other’s strengths is a highly effective way to create a more robust production environment. This shared conviction led to the capital tie-up, with Pierrot acquiring shares in Asahi Production to deepen their collaboration and forge a stronger long-term partnership.
