The highly anticipated first chapter of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Castle Arc is set to hit theaters on July 18. To build excitement, the official X (formerly Twitter) account has launched a countdown campaign, releasing commemorative visuals each day.

On this particular day—“98 days until release”—a nostalgic key visual from the Asakusa Arc was shared, showcasing a scene that long-time fans immediately recognized. The visual features Muzan Kibutsuji appearing in public with a human wife and child, a brief yet striking moment from the anime’s early episodes.

Fans flooded social media with reactions like, “That was the only time Muzan’s wife and kid appeared—what happened to them afterward?” “This visual brings back memories!” “I’m so excited!” and “Muzan-sama!!”

About Demon Slayer: A Record-Breaking Global Phenomenon

Based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, selling over 150 million copies. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demon-turned sister Nezuko back into a human after their family is slaughtered by demons.

The anime adaptation began in April 2019 with Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc. This was followed by:
