An April Fools’ project has been revealed for the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries. Set in a fictional private school named Lihua Academy, the project introduces a new school-themed mystery adventure titled The Apothecary Diaries School Diaries. In this story, Maomao transfers to the academy aiming to become a pharmacist, solving various puzzling incidents alongside the student council president Jinshi. A promotional video featuring character voices and setting illustrations has also been released.

The world of the game revolves around transfer student Maomao, who aspires to become a pharmacist, teaming up with Jinshi, the student council president of Lihua Academy, to solve various mysterious incidents on campus.

Maomao plays the role of a transfer student striving to become a pharmacist. Jinshi reigns at the top of the academy as student council president. Gyokuyo is the student council treasurer, Gaoshun is a physics teacher supporting the school behind the scenes, Xiaolan is a cheerful, gossip-loving junior student, and Shisui is Maomao’s classmate. The newly released promotional video includes voice clips from all these characters.
