The final chapter of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club continues to unfold. At the “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Latest News Stage” held on March 23 at Tokyo Big Sight as part of AnimeJapan 2025, it was announced that the film Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter Part 2 will premiere on November 7, 2024.

The upcoming second part shifts the stage to the Kansai region—Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe—and depicts the efforts of six members: Ai Miyashita, Karin Asaka, Setsuna Yuki, Rina Tennoji, Shioriko Mifune, and Mia Taylor. The story takes place during the same time frame as Part 1 and introduces a new character: Chloe Taylor, the older sister of Mia.

In related news, Part 1 of the film will be available for unlimited streaming starting April 1 across various platforms. The theme song album for the visual novel Tokimeki no Mirai Chizu, set for release on April 24, will be released on May 14 under the title Eternalize Love!!.

The Love Live! franchise is a multimedia school idol project centered around the theme “A story made together.” The Nijigasaki series is the third installment. Its first season aired in 2020, followed by a second season in 2022. A new OVA episode titled NEXT SKY was released in June 2023, with a new trilogy of original episodes following its events starting in September 2024 with Part 1 in theaters.

Synopsis for Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter Part 2

The School Idol Grand Prix (GPX) is underway to determine “the most support-worthy school idols.” While excitement builds in Okinawa, Karin, Ai, Setsuna, Rina, Shioriko, and Mia find themselves in a different venue, determined to compete in their own way.

They travel to Kyoto, steeped in tradition; Osaka, known for its energy and warmth; and Kobe, a port city with international flair. Each member embarks on her own journey in these three culturally rich cities.

As Mia enjoys being a school idol alongside her clubmates, her older sister Chloe Taylor suddenly appears. Meanwhile, Nana Nakagawa, who performs under her idealized persona “Setsuna Yuki,” faces a personal struggle within her limited time.

The story builds toward an unexpected climax as each member pours her heart into the School Idol GPX.

This is the second chapter in a coming-of-age school idol drama about twelve girls and one extraordinary youth. A brand-new spark of excitement is about to begin.
