The story follows Tanzaburo Tojima, a man who, even at 40, still dreams of becoming Kamen Rider. Just as he's about to give up on that dream, he becomes entangled in a series of crimes involving a group of fake Shocker-themed robbers. What follows is a no-holds-barred, full-hearted tribute to Kamen Rider, told through the lens of adults who refuse to let go of their childhood dreams.
The original manga, created by Yokusaru Shibata—known for Air Master and Hachiwandiver—is serialized on the manga site Comiplex, having originally debuted in Monthly Heroes magazine in June 2018.
Comment from Katsuyuki Konishi
"I'm Katsuyuki Konishi, voicing Tanzaburo Tojima. I’ve always been a fan of Shibata-sensei’s work and have read it for years. I even recommended this series to people, saying ‘This is amazing!’ So when I heard it was getting an anime and that there would be auditions, I knew I had to go for it.
I pushed my voice to the limit recording my audition tape, and when I got the role, I was over the moon. The anime is being created with incredible passion by the entire staff and cast. I truly believe we’re bringing out 120%—no, 200%—of the original manga’s power. Look forward to the broadcast in 2025! Rider Punch!!!!”
