The latest Disney & Pixar film, Elio, crafted by the creators behind Coco and Inside Out 2, has officially set its Japan release date for August 1. Newly released stills showcase the film’s lonely boy protagonist, Elio, alongside the alien boy Glordon and the guide character OOOOO.

A Boy Searching for His Place in the Universe

Elio has always believed that somewhere among the stars, there is a place where he truly belongs. Feeling out of place on Earth, he dreams of one day traveling to space. His wish unexpectedly comes true when he is mistakenly identified as the "Leader of Earth" and transported to Communiverse, a meeting ground for leaders from across the galaxy.

Upon arriving, Elio is mesmerized by the bright, colorful, and surreal alien world. As he soars through the galaxies, he marvels, "This place is like a dream!"—but his adventure is only just beginning.
