The 31st installment of the Super Sentai "VS Series," the V-Cinext film Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger vs. Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger, will have a limited theatrical run starting May 1 at Shinjuku Wald 9 and other select theaters, followed by a Blu-ray & DVD release on October 29. Alongside this announcement, a batch of newly revealed scene cuts has been released.

Super Sentai 50th Anniversary Collaboration Film

The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the Super Sentai series. To commemorate this milestone, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger and Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger are teaming up in a dream crossover. What kind of battle will unfold between these two legendary Super Sentai teams? The collaboration brings together the "Courier Heroes" and the "Kings," delivering a high-energy, action-packed adventure. The film is directed by Hiroyuki Katō, who has helmed both series, with a script penned by Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger’s head writer, Atsuhiro Tomioka.

Completion Ceremony and Live Viewing

To celebrate the film's completion, a special premiere event with a stage greeting will be held on April 16 at Shinjuku Wald 9. Additionally, a live viewing of the stage greeting will be broadcast in participating theaters nationwide (with some exceptions). The planned attendees for the event include cast members Haruhi Iuchi, Yuki Hayama, Miu Suzuki, Ryu Saito, Satoru Soma, Yu Miyazawa, Taisei Sakai, Aoto Watanabe, Erika Murakami, Yuzuki Hirakawa, So Kaku, and director Hiroyuki Kato.

Story

Nicola, newly crowned queen of Planet Trickle, is set to form an alliance with Planet Chikyu. The Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger are invited to serve as official witnesses to the agreement. However, the remnants of the Hashiriyan gang suddenly appear, led by Manhole Gurumer, who steals the royal family's treasured gem from Nicola.

To make matters worse, Minongan, one of the Five Jesters of the Uchu Insects, emerges and seizes the sacred sword Ohger Calibur ZERO, which was to be used in the alliance ceremony. Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger rush to the scene to fight alongside Boonboomger, but due to Manhole Gurumer,’s mysterious powers, the heroes are scattered across different locations.

Separated across different planets, Taiya and the others each set out on their own to escape their dire situations. Meanwhile, a menacing pulse begins to rumble from deep underground… As an overwhelming evil awakens, can the two great Super Sentai teams reunite and fight together once more?
