On March 18, Takara Tomy announced the release of a new Japan-original short anime titled Transformers: Wild King, which will premiere on March 26 on the official Takara Tomy YouTube channel (Takara Tomy Channel).

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024, the Transformers franchise has seen a surge in young fans following the releases of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023) and the upcoming Transformers: ONE (2024). To further expand this audience, Takara Tomy is launching its first domestically produced Transformers anime in 10 years, alongside a brand-new toy series.

A Short-Format Series Featuring Classic & New Transformers

To make it easily accessible for kids, Transformers: Wild King will be released as a short-form YouTube anime (approx. 6 minutes per episode, including toy introduction segments).

💥 Optimus Prime & Megatron return as the central figures.
🦖 New Energy Beasts: Animal- and dinosaur-based Transformers make their debut.
🌍 Setting: The mysterious planet Elementros, where battles unfold.

The key feature of the new series is "Wildocking," a combination transformation system where Energy Beasts merge with Optimus Prime and Megatron. This introduces a dynamic fusion of animals, dinosaurs, vehicles, and robots, creating spectacular transformation sequences designed to captivate young audiences.

Toy Line: Transformers: Wild King Series Launching April 26

Alongside the anime, Takara Tomy is launching a new toy line that faithfully reproduces the character designs from the anime.
