The popular comic "ONE PIECE" by Eiichiro Oda, with its 105th volume, has claimed first place with sales of 1.758 million copies in the "Oricon First Half Comic Ranking 2023の" announced on May 31st.

Volume 105 of "ONE PIECE" was released on March 3rd, 2023, selling 1.022 million copies in a week and claiming 1st place in the "Oricon Weekly Comic Ranking" as of March 13th[※]. It has surpassed a million copies in the weekly sales of March 13th.

The "ONE PIECE" series has achieved the feat of selling over a million copies for all volumes, from 1 to 105. “The number of titles in a single series with cumulative sales of over a million copies“ is the highest in Oricon Weekly Comic Ranking history. Since ONE PIECE, the ranking record of titles will be 105 from now on.

Additionally, the series has won the No.1 spot 12 times in total and for 12 years in a row in the ranking, which has been announced since 2009, in which the Oricon ranking above has started. It has updated its own record for “the number of times and the number of years a single series has won the first place” in the Oricon Comic Rankings.

"One Piece" holds the all-time record for the cumulative sales of individual comic works. From the start of the Oricon Weekly Comic Ranking dated April 7th, 2008, until the latest date of May 29th, 2023, the cumulative sales of the series amount to 227.767 million copies.
