To celebrate the upcoming release of ‘Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback’ (April 18, 2025), a special commemorative billboard featuring Kogoro Mouri will be displayed at TOHO Cinemas Umeda in Osaka starting March 7.

Osaka’s TOHO Cinemas Umeda – A "Sacred Site" for Conan Fans

TOHO Cinemas Umeda has been a major hub for Conan fans, frequently ranking #1 in nationwide box office attendance for the Detective Conan films for three consecutive years.

Since 2017’s ‘The Crimson Love Letter’, the theater has featured an exclusive, hand-drawn billboard for each movie. This year, for the first time ever, the billboard will showcase Kogoro Mouri.

A Determined Kogoro Mouri Takes Center Stage

The large-scale semi-circular billboard (8.8m x 3.3m), located above the concession stand on the 8th floor, features Kogoro with a serious expression, stating:
"I will solve this case, no matter what."

Standing behind Kogoro is Conan, striking a playful "shushing" pose with one eye closed, almost as if he’s asking the audience to quietly watch over Kogoro’s rare serious moment.

Notably, both Kogoro and Conan have their index fingers on their lips, but with a subtle difference in gesture, hinting at a deeper meaning connected to the film’s plot.

Special "Talking Kogoro" Standee Also Unveiled

Starting March 7, a life-size Kogoro Mouri standee with built-in voice lines will be installed in theaters nationwide (excluding some locations).

🪑 The standee includes an actual chair where fans can sit.
Additionally, new posters and flyers will be displayed in theaters starting on the same day.

About ‘Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback’

Set in the snowy mountains of Nagano, the story follows Detective Kansuke Yamato of the Nagano Police, who is wounded while chasing a mysterious man. A rifle bullet grazes his left eye, and he is buried in an avalanche.

Ten months later, having miraculously survived, he investigates a violent attack on an astronomer at Nobeyama Observatory. As the parabolic antenna begins moving, his injured left eye suddenly throbs with pain.

Meanwhile, Kogoro Mouri and Conan, heading to meet one of Kogoro’s former police colleagues, suddenly hear a gunshot.
