Lumiose City, first introduced in Pokémon X & Y (2013), serves as the backdrop for this new adventure. Players will take on the role of a traveler staying at the historic Hotel Z while exploring the city’s unfolding mysteries alongside their partner Pokémon: Chikorita, Totodile, or Tepig.

A New Battle System Unlike Any Before

Unlike traditional turn-based combat, Pokemon LEGENDS Z-A introduces a real-time battle system where both Pokémon and their trainers move dynamically. Trainers will direct their Pokémon in battle while actively positioning themselves, making strategic elements like type matchups, Pokémon switching, move selection timing, attack range, and execution speed more critical than ever. This new mechanic aims to deliver a more immersive and engaging battle experience.

Mega Evolution Returns with a New Power Boost

Mega Evolution makes its return, pushing Pokémon beyond their usual evolutionary limits. Players can harness Keystones and Mega Stones, with an additional enhancement through bond power, making these transformations even more powerful. Mastering Mega Evolution will be key to securing victories in battles.

Explore the ‘Wild Zone’ and Capture Pokémon

Lumiose City, undergoing redevelopment by the Quasar Corporation, features a specially designed Wild Zone, a habitat where Pokémon roam freely. Players can explore this area, battle wild Pokémon, and attempt to capture them using Poké Balls, adding another layer of depth to the gameplay.

A Legacy of Innovation in the Pokémon Franchise

The Pokemon LEGENDS series began in January 2022 with Pokemon LEGENDS: Arceus, which transported players to an ancient version of the Sinnoh region.
