Ko Nanase, known for his role as Kirisaki/Tregear in Ultraman Taiga, has been cast as Don Momotaro in the latest Super Sentai series, Number One Sentai Gozyuger (airs Sundays at 9:30 AM on TV Asahi). The synopsis for Episode 3, titled "The Don (BOSS) of Japan! I'm the Prime Minister!" has also been released.

On the official X account, a promotional post announced, "Approval rating exceeds 5000%! The most powerful Prime Minister, Don Momotaro, appears!" Additionally, the episode will feature a "Number One Popularity Battle," where the charismatic Prime Minister shares his secrets to success with Hoeru Tono, who has never been in the spotlight. The post revealed that the youngest charismatic Prime Minister in history, Tokonatsu Atami, transforms into Don Momotaro, played by Ko Nanase.

Ko Nanase’s Message to Fans

Nanase, who gained recognition among tokusatsu fans for his portrayal of Kirisaki/Tregear in Ultraman Taiga (2019), shared his thoughts on his official X account. He expressed his gratitude for the role:

"I have been given the role of Tokonatsu Atami/Don Momotaro in Number One Sentai Gozyuger. He is the youngest, strongest, and most charismatic Prime Minister worthy of being Number One. He’s a passionate man. I’ll bring smiles to Sunday mornings! Look forward to what happens with Hoeru and the others!"

He also shared his inner thoughts about the role, confessing,

"I am truly grateful to be part of tokusatsu again. While I was excited, I also felt a bit uneasy about someone other than Tarou Momoi transforming into Don Momotaro. But witnessing the enthusiasm of the staff and the dedication of Mio Fuyuno and the rest of the cast reassured me. Thanks to them, I was able to fully embrace and enjoy playing Tokonatsu Atami."

Nanase went on to express his admiration for his fellow cast members:
